Students wear big smiles on a sunny opening day
The Miller Place School District officially opened its doors for over 2,300 students across its four schools for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Students high-fived their teachers, greeted their peers and displayed beaming smiles on a warm and sunny first day.
“Our students were thrilled to be back for a new school year and our staff did an incredible job of making everyone feel welcome and ready to learn. The District is excited and eager for the new school year and we are prepared to continue building on our student successes,” said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Seth Lipshie.
Elementary students at Andrew Muller Primary School and Laddie A. Decker Sound Beach School entered school with enthusiasm as they greeted their principals, teachers and staff as they found their way to their new classrooms. Students at North Country Road Middle School and Miller Place High School were reunited with their friends and peers after the two-month summer break.
